Fitness isn’t only about lifting heavy or running fast. It is also about performing daily tasks free of fatigue, breathlessness, pain, and discomfort
Being fit is not only about reaching an ideal body fat percentage, lifting heavy, or running fast. It is also about performing daily tasks free of fatigue, breathlessness, pain, and discomfort.
Don’t be intimidated by the word “fit.” Everyone can achieve daily fitness regardless of age, gender, weight, health condition, or socioeconomic status. Whether you’re a housewife busy with daily chores, a regular employee who commutes to and from the workplace, or a medical doctor who deals with numerous patients around the clock.
You may have the looks, a continuously growing successful business, and amazing people around you, but none of these matter in the long run if you fail to focus on improving your fitness to prevent unfavorable health issues.

Just brisk walking for 10 minutes, doing a bodyweight strength routine, or replacing sedentary behaviors with active ones (using the stairs instead of the elevator or cleaning the house instead of watching television) can lead you to the following motivating rewards:
- Self-confidence
- Your motivation will be stronger than ever, and your overflowing confidence is evident in your mood, posture, and skin.
- You will have an improved body image and self-esteem. You won’t feel bad about yourself anymore when you compare reality with unrealistic beauty standards on social media.
- Productivity
- Your sense of achievement is continuously driving you to produce more effectively. You can finish work quickly, multitask, and accomplish more in a single day, which can also lead you to devote more time and attention to improving various aspects of wellness (recovery and healthy eating) to sustain your high productivity levels.
- Being fit can make you more resilient and help you conquer daily stressors in this fast-paced world.
- Better relationships
- You can have a clearer mindset to tackle relationship issues and focus on constructively resolving problems instead of being reactive or passive.
- You can have that interest in experiencing fun and excitement through exercise—play or walk/run around with your loved ones.
- You will have the feeling of being able to do more and give more to others.

- Financial freedom
- Being fit and free of health problems can save you money from paying doctors’ fees, hospitalizations, and medication. Instead, you can devote more time to uplifting your health and wellness (preventive health checkups, exercise clothes, fitness programs, and coaching).
- With your energy, you can refocus on spending money to enjoy more in life.
- You can sleep well, stress-free, without worrying if your health will deteriorate the next day. Remember that stress can cause emotional eating, leading to overspending (unhealthy foods or retail therapy).
- Improved overall function and physical performance
- Being a fit person goes beyond the numbers on the scale. It’s all about applying the various aspects of fitness to the daily demands of your lifestyle. Outside performing well in formal exercises, you can move effectively in your daily activities (climbing up and down the stairs, performing housework, or walking your dog), free of injuries and physical limitations.

- Sustaining a healthy lifestyle
- You will be able to tackle wellness the right way. Instead of dieting to look thinner, you will be fueling your body to get stronger. Sleep will also be prioritized so that you’ll always get the same or a better level of energy for the next day.
- Always listen to your body and approach things in moderation, and you won’t neglect other equally important aspects of your life.
