As much as it is the season for gifts and parties, Christmas is also the time for tradition. Apart from the usual potluck noche buena and program, there are other offbeat holiday traditions which our family enjoys.
Christmas is a time of hurlyburly shopping and razzle dazzle decor. It’s the shopping that stresses; early on, the exercise for me extended to Christmas Eve.
There are only a few more pages left in my planner. The year is almost up. The next couple of weeks are crowded, and I shudder to think of how little I have prepared to accomplish all that is set out there before me. I know I should get moving. My Christmas list can wait no longer. But it is December. And my thoughts wander off to a time long past.
