Work out like you’re partying in a club. Bodyjam, the choreographed dance session from Les Mills, makes every workout session feel like it’s Saturday night.

After five years of organizing marathons, Rexona this year opted to team up with the country’s top fitness clubs and hosted the RXN Fitfest featuring Plana Forma for Barre + Yoga + Cardio, 360 Fitness for Circuit Training, and Fitness First for Bodyjam.

If you need to add a new mix to your 2016 dance workout routine, Bodyjam is the workout that won’t let you down. Here are 10 reasons that make it the perfect jam to fire up your day.

1) It’s a party. You dance to club music, to tracks you actually love. Join the evening class and, for 55 minutes, the gym studio will be transformed into a dance club scene. The lights, music, and the atmosphere are enough to make you forget you’re inside a gym.

2) You torch calories—lots of calories. A typical Bodyjam session can burn up to 500 calories. The best part is, since it’s a high-energy class, burning 500 or more calories go by so quickly.

3) You won’t feel beat. Remember how exhausting Saturday night outs can be, but then you wake up the next day and still feel energized just remembering the good vibes? That’s exactly how Bodyjam feels like. You know you should be tired, your muscles actually ache, but the experience is so exhilarating you feel reenergized.

4) You learn the latest dance moves. Trap, drum ’n’ bass, house, hip-hop—the soul of Bodyjam is 100 percent legit electronic music. Choreographed by New Zealand’s Gandalf Archer, it’s always a step ahead of the latest dance move.

5) Can’t dance? No problem. You can still enjoy the workout. Move at a pace most comfortable to you. Sooner or later you’ll find your rhythm. If you’re a little shy, stay at the back of the class or bring your friends to jam with you. You don’t need dance experience. You just need to bring a whole lot of attitude to bust some moves.

6) Music and choreography change every three months, so you’ll never get bored.

7) You can suggest a song. Yup, unlike other dance workouts, Bodyjam wants to hear from you. If you have a favorite tune, its web site has a Suggest A Song page.

8) You improve on your coordination and agility. That’s what dance does to you.

9) It keeps your heart rate in the zone, between 130-150 bpm, depending on the intensity of the moves. So you don’t have to worry about pushing too hard, or working out too slow.

10) It’s loads of fun. The only way to find out if you’ll stay on a program is when you enjoy what you’re doing. If you haven’t been able to stick to a workout program, Bodyjam could change all that.

The RXN Fitfest was held at the SMX Mall of Asia Hall 1.
