SNEAK a peek into the world of De La Salle-College of Saint Benilde?s School of Design and Art, in this new blog The SDA Project.
The brainchild of four talented students?Lyka Orhel, Esme Palaganas, Lorenz Namalata and Bjorn Bedayo??it?s a blog about the students, for the students and by the students,? said the four.
It showcases the students? personal style, their present and potential abilities. The four founders believe CSB-SDA students are very unique as seen in their personal styles.
Look forward to interviews with campus personalities, including professors! Once a month, they will be featuring one SDA student that undeniably stands out. While every week, in true TommyTon-TheSartorialist fashion, they will be roaming around the campus ready to capture every stylish student on camera.
They explained that what makes the SDA Project different from other style blogs is that they are not stylists, fashion designers, celebrities and editors, just yet. ?We?re students, still working our way into the creative industry. We are the future of our chosen industry, young blood, young passionate creative blood,? they state in unison.
Meet the team behind The SDA Project: a style blogger, two photographers and an aspiring fashion designer.

?I want to be one of the most successful fashion photographer in the country. I also want to establish an advertising agency and a menswear boutique with my best friends.?
Describe your personal style:
I?m often seen wearing eclectic and street preppy outfits. I like to mix up vintage-looking pieces with modern ones. I also like playing with proportions, a long button-down with cropped pants for example. Lookbook is my style bible.
Style Motto:
Fashion should be an expression of one?s style and individuality. Do not be afraid to express yourself, love the avant-garde and be eccentric.
Other than the SDA project, what do you do?
I?m the creative photographer of Versa-Vise Productions. I?ve collaborated with Lasalle College International students, Onin Lorente of Style Anywhere, The Editions, Bespoke de Levenson Rodriguez, and Fashion Designers Alliance Manila. Recently, I was nominated in a Malaysia-based website Tongue In Chic?s Style Awards: The Face To Watch Out For 2010

?I would definitely want to be an internationally renowned fashion photographer. I will start my own studio company - slash - empire, and also a famous modeling agency. I will definitely take the world by storm!?
Describe your personal style:
Mary Kate Olsen with a touch of Oliva Palermo makes my own brand of style.
Mostly leaning towards monochromatic and edgy, my wardrobe is primarily made up of blacks and whites, though sometimes I splash hints of colors here and there, a few chic accessories and cool shoes, to make my look polished and clean.
Style Motto:
Accept criticisms and admirations, but never take them to heart. What matters most is what you think and feel, and how you can express that with flair.
How did photography change your life?
The craziest and most unexpected life changing events that happened to me were the photo shoots with creative teams and local brands, and working with some of the respected creatives both locally and internationally. When I started photography as a hobby, I didn?t exactly plan for it to be my future. However, I was really blessed this past two years with all that has happened, and I could say that I have truly found my passion in life.

?There are so many things I want to be in the future. I want to be like David Downtown who?s a successful fashion illustrator, I want to collaborate with big brands much like what fashion designer Jeremy Scott does and I want to be part of the magazine industry like Vince Uy who is someone I look up to. It will never happen in an instant so I?m taking one step at a time?
Describe your personal style:
My style is pretty much dynamic at this point. I can look preppy or classic one day and go uncategorized the next. I?m not afraid in trying out new trends just as long as it feels natural. I don?t force the issue if the look doesn?t suit me at all.
Style Motto:
Style is but just an extension of your personality. Introduce yourself through what you?re wearing and more importantly by how you carry it! If you are confident about yourself, it would show... at first glance.
What made you decide to get into fashion?
I always thought that I?d end up in Advertising but I had my epiphany when together with my friends, we won a design contest sponsored by Levi?s tasking us to deconstruct denim. This jumpstarted my interest in taking up Fashion Design in which I am under scholarship in CSB. I know some people stereotype those who are in the industry but I?m out here to prove that being a straight male designer can be done as others before me have already proven. Recently, I interned under Ms. Sassa Jimenez that exposed me in my chosen field and this fueled my desire even more to start my own line marketed towards stylish guys eventually.?

?I will be a savvy business professional in the fashion industry, though anyone taking up Fashion Design would typically dream of becoming a house designer as well. I want to create beautiful clothing/pieces for everyone to make them feel comfortable and stylish. I want to be a respected stylist someday, and I?d love to, and I definitely will, own a legit vintage store?
Describe your personal style:
It?s a play between vintage and androgynous style. You can either see me rummaging my dad and my brother?s closet or running to the nearest vintage store. As for the best style icons who share this style belief, easy, Karla Deras, Alexa Chung, Chloe Sevigny and Mary Kate Olsen. They are beautiful women with class, they are more than what they?re wearing.
Style Motto:
Old, new, it doesn?t matter, it all ends up to the one wearing it?A P100 printed vintage dress worn with class will look better beside someone wearing a $1000 Versace frock without confidence and flair. ?
Perks of being style blogger?
Within almost 2 years of blogging, I?ve collaborated with What A Girl Wants and Kimberly Taylor. Recently, Team Manila Lifestyle tapped me as one of their style bloggers to promote their shop and we?re currently working on the collaboration.
