WHAT DO AN INternational boxing champ, a fashion model, an animal rights advocate, a baker, and a versatile actress and TV host have in common? Their best buddies are their pet dogs?Bow & Wow has found out. It?s an ?all-natural pet foods? store, 5th level of Shangri-La Plaza Mall, Mandaluyong City.

Pacman is the two-year-old male Parson Jack Russell Terrier of boxing champ Manny Pacquiao.

Given as a gift to Manny Pac quiao in the US, Pacman (who lives in LA) wakes up his master early in the morning.

Pacman is a well-trained dog who has a gregarious personality. He loves to "shake hands" with his master and likes jumping up and about.

?Pacman can express affectionate gestures that connote that he?s sorry when I scold him,? said Pacquiao. He can be as strong-willed as Manny, and has a fearless and happy disposition.

A working terrier, Pacman is in his element when jogging and accompanying Pacquiao during training. He joined Manny in Las Vegas during the Pacquiao-Hatton boxing match.

Pacman had been to the Philippines: he accompanied Pacquiao in the latter?s training in Baguio City last October. He?s now in Vegas where the boxer is preparing for Pacquiao?s much-awaited fight this weekend with Miguel Cotto of Puerto Rico.

Pacman?s favorite chow: chicken and beef.

Isabel Roces, actress and animal rights advocate, has Zelda, the year-and-a-half-old Giant Schnauzer, a large female dog who?s as friendly as she looks intimidating size.

?She?s a very sweet dog, loves to cuddle and craves for attention all the time.? said Roces.

Like the typical pedigreed guard dog, Zelda knows when to be defensive. Zelda?s coat is all-black, so at night it may be difficult to see her, except when her red tongue sticks out.

Giant Schnauzers are known to be loving and devoted to their family, extremely intelligent, and full of energy, and naturally curious about their environment.

Zelda exhibits all these, and shares home space with five other Giant Schnauzers, all housebroken, pampered, and allowed to roam about freely in the Roces family?s garden.

Zelda loves eating raw chicken and bones. Roces ensures that her pooch gets veggies in the morning, and rotates three different diets a week for variety.

Zelda?s favorite treats? Dog biscuits and raw beef bones.

Playful pets

Actress Jacqui Lou Blanco dotes on Cheeseball, a Shi Tzu.

?She loves to curl up into a ball,? Jacqui Lou said. Shih Tzus are known to be playful. They can get along well with kids and other pets.

She said she and her children always look forward to coming home and playing with their pets. ?They bring us joy, and our family is very lucky to have them,? she added.

Her Shi Tzu, with other pets, is groomed once a month. The loving, playful and loyal pooches are bestowed treats everyday, and get extra gifts like chewable bones and fashionable collars, too.

Sage, the furry friend of baker Marivic Roldan-Carag, is a five-year-old female Labrador Retriever given by her husband as a gift.

She describes her pet pooch as very affectionate, possessive, friendly and naughty.

Marivic showers her dog with attention and ensures that Sage (which she named after a herb), gets more than enough dog chow, daily exercise, house training, and occasional pet grooming (a village vet visits Sage to cut her nails).

Sage came at a critical moment in Marivic?s life. The dog she had for 14 years had died.

Marivic revealed that she gives her dog maintenance vitamins. Among the dog treats Sage gets are cookies and bones.

No stylish dog gear for her pup. ?My dog is very simple, just like me,? Carag said.
